Rock Climbing

On Friday, we went wall climbing at On the Rocks climbing gym. Four students came and our two teachers. It was a bit scary, but we had a great time.

spirt square! <3 {l}ol :)

i whent to the spirt square when they where brining the tourch in on the big flame i thought it was really cool and i was there with alot of my friends and had alto of fun with my bf.there was dancing and alot of good music <3

Spirit Square

We went to the spirit square on Monday. We saw dancers and monks and lots of people there. There were four tents. In one tent there was a food place and in the other tent there was carving with wood and ice. In another tent there was a flag coloring place, where there was a scary teacher. We even saw our banner hanging up downtown. It had the torch and the Canada flag painted on it. I was there when they cut the ribbon to officially open the spirit square. And that’s what I did on Monday.

My Day at the Spirit Square

On Monday, November 2nd we walked down to the spirit square. I got to see the lit Olympic torch come through a crowd of people. It was white with the Olympic rings on its side. There were ice sculptures and carvers inside the tents. There were monks and native people singing and giving praise. I saw spirit bowls surrounded by cedar and rocks. If you bought a spirit bowl for ten dollars you got a bowl of soup. They were raising money for the Food Bank. All in all it was pretty cool.
